Wewantsounds reissues a standout 1975 recording from legendary Arabic singer Warda. We Malo finds the iconic vocalist — famously sampled by Jay-Z and J Dilla — backed by a full orchestra that fuses traditional Arabic arrangements with the electrified textures of the decade: organ, electric guitar, and all. Written by celebrated composer Baligh Hamdi, the album showcases Warda’s commanding voice in a fresh, modern light while remaining rooted in classical traditions. This edition features remastered audio, original cassette artwork, and a two-page insert with new liner notes by Mario Choueiry of the Institut du Monde Arabe.
