Karl O’Conner (Regis) and David Sumner (Function) reunited for what is only their 2nd full length in a decade and a half. But who needs more quantity when the quality is this good?
Pulverising reams of fat bass beats ricochet across End Beginnings' futuristic landscape, stopping only to grab you by the jugular and haul you to the dancefloor. It’s more than a continuation of SD’s genre-inventing Feed Forward, it’s an advancement of the sound, updating their output to impress the heads of 2025 as much as sate the rabid appetites of those of us who’ve been eagerly hanging on since 2010.
Sadly, in the interim, we lost the core member and creative inspiration, Juan Mendez. However, as epitaphs go, this is one that Silent Servant would certainly be proud of. RIP.
