"Recorded in the backyard at the peak of summer cicada chorus season, each track is part field recording, part impromptu melodic improvising, part singing with and to the lizards and the bugs. Ambulances pass by, and the ever-present noise machine tide of highway 59 ebbs and flows. My child opens the back door and demands more time on his tablet. This collection of songs is an exercise in imperfection - produced only by the elements that surrounded me at the time. No multi-tracking, no overdubs. No dreaming."
