Goliath - Everyday Hymns Goliath
“Everyday hymns is an album first and foremost about human connection. How the people around us shape our lives, for the better or for the worst. Although not intentional, a lot of the work was done during winter, and as such, it has ended up as quite a wintry album, with sprinklings of snow and seasonal depression painting the overall imagery of the album.
A large part of the album is themed around my home town, Airdrie, which has shaped me into the artist I am today. In spite of it's flaws, I love my home and the people in it and it has inspired a lot of my songwriting as I've grown up, whether that be through the down to earth interactions with those around me, or the everyday beauty of the local wildlife.
The album was co-produced between myself and Andy Monoghan, formerly of Frightened Rabbit. The album was written in my home studio and recorded between my home studio and Andy's studio 312. The album was Mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios, London."
