"Black Deer" by William Burnett (better known by his alias Willie Burns) is a self-titled electronic album released on the Glasgow-based independent label Huntleys + Palmers. Spanning eight tracks of lo-fi house and techno, the album explores analog synthesis and hazy, hypnotic grooves.
Burnett—also known for aliases like Speculator—is a veteran of the underground electronic scene, known for his raw, experimental approach to hardware production. The record blends cavernous drum machine rhythms, tape-saturated synths, and subtle melodies. The Black Deer project spans a wider "hexalogy" of material from Burnett.
