Belle & Sebastian - Tigermilk Belle & Sebastian

This is it then – a spectacular lap of honour for Tigermilk. Be the amazed audience, be one of the runners.

We’re so happy to welcome Belle and Sebastian to The Glasgow School. If you’re unfamiliar, this is a series of records that will document what we consider to be the most important and best music to come out of our hallowed city over the past sixty years. Each record is lovingly presented with the care and love that it deserves – each will have unique content and be exclusive to us.

Tigermilk, originally released on Stow College’s Electric Honey imprint was a slow burning success story carried forward mostly by its amazing collection of songs and by word of mouth. It marked out Belle & Sebastian as something special, ones to watch, game changers. Is it possible to re-capture that feeling of hearing these songs for the first time, holding the hallowed record in you hands, being back in the world of Stuart Murdoch’s Glasgow? That’s what we’ve tried to do with this release made in collaboration with long-standing group confidante, Andrew Symington.

Of the time and timeless, that’s surely what we all aim for. The Belles pulled it off in one bold magical move. This is it then – a spectacular lap of honour for Tigermilk. Be the amazed audience, be one of the runners.
