Despite possessing one of the most iconic voices in reggae, Junior Murvin was criminally under-recorded in his time, and much of what was released then has been heard by far too few. He is known almost exclusively for his breakout hit "Police & Thieves" (perhaps the most well-known roots-era reggae song not on a compilation called Legend). This first-ever reissue of his 1982 sophomore album and follow-up to that legendary collaboration with Lee Perry aims to correct that injustice.
