Sanctuary Of Praise - Ether Unending Sanctuary Of Praise

Formed in the south of England in 2019, Sanctuary of Praise has gradually morphed into a trio and honed their sound while relentlessly playing shows around the UK (Café OTO, Horse Hospital, ICA etc) and Europe (Copenhagen, Paris, Brussels, Tallin…) as well as organising their own shows/happenings for food banks and at illegal venues and open spaces around London. Their live shows are raw, loud, uncompromising, and as visually striking as they are sonically intense.

Their name now regularly fills rooms yet, aside from a small clutch of cassette-only releases on their INFOrmatiON! label, their recorded output has been neglected. This is now corrected with their first vinyl offering issued on their own Silver Traces label.

While fielding advances from labels far and wide over the last two years the band self-recorded Ether Unending on various tape machines, representing a step-up in fidelity compared to their previous cassette releases. Extended instrumental pieces and abstract cut-up passages fuse voids into full-frontal songs. This is a fully-formed creature combining naivety with a self-assured independent spirit sadly lacking in today’s self-obsessed, content-driven slop-shop.

Ether Unending is also a beautiful object - presented on black vinyl in hand-sewn, screen-printed covers with a postcard insert.
