A Los Campesinos! Christmas Los Campesinos!

When I think of Christmas, I think of a few things: my dog camped out under the table waiting for someone to spill the tiniest crumb of turkey and cranberry sauce, my Mum waking up at 6am to preheat the oven, my car making its way through the torrential storm between Dundee and Glasgow a few years back, and me putting a couple records into my bag to spin during the festivities. I’m allocated DJ every year, and there’s always been a record missing from my bag.

Up until now, Los Campesinos!’s A Los Campesinos! Christmas has only been available on tape and a very limited vinyl pressing which I’ve never managed to get my hands on…until the Christmas angels listened and it’s finally here, on green vinyl with all the trimmings. 

The EP features four Los Campesinos! originals, plus a modern take on the traditional ‘the Holly & the Ivy’ and their somehow even more sorrowful cover of the Mud sob-along classic ‘Lonely this Christmas’. Available on CD for the first time ever and on vinyl for the first time in over 10 years, this EP is ready to cement its rightful place in the Christmas canon. Well, it already has in my house.
