Double LP compilation of great soul music! The third in the Cairo sub label greatest hits of soul series, (after “The Love You Save” and “All Of This Goes Too”). This volume focuses on mostly heavy duty ballads of the existential sort. Overall the series of compilations following a similar logic as Harry Smith’s Anthology Of American Folk Music – only where Smith covered folk, blues, gospel and old timey, these compilations covers just American soul music recorded between 1955 and 1972. Features extensive 12 page liner notes with lots of photo’s. Cover has gold foil printing, and the records are housed in classy black sleeves. . Super fancy limited edition double LP not to be missed.
