Recorded in the time between David’s Centuries and a move back into the city, Mountains is an enchanted, slightly odd LP, Eno-y and nature wise.

If you don’t know, David McClymont was one of the founder members of Orange Juice, the ace of bass as they say. Already there are quite a few adjuncts to a prolific recent career and this one feels essential – melodic, the slow bounce of life in nature and city. Another rich reward of a record – so good.
